“Hamilton” is the story of America then, told by America now. Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B, and show tunes, “Hamilton” has taken the story of American founding father Alexander Hamilton and created a revolutionary moment in theater–a musical that has had a profound impact on culture, politics, and education. Captured at the Richard Rodgers Theater on Broadway in June 2016, the film transports its audience into the world of the Broadway show in a uniquely intimate way.

Meet your trivia host!

Sarah Robbitts-Terry is the Director of Education at Portsmouth Historical Society. She creates, develops, plans, and runs many of the Historical Society’s school-age programs, such as Homeschool History, and the 3rd grade history program, which goes into all the public third grade classrooms in Portsmouth. She also runs Family Day programming each month, and helps to organize many other Historical Society events, lectures, workshops, and more. She strives to connect visitors with local history and community, and to empower them to be an active part of Portsmouth’s present and future!
