The Lost Summer Drive-In Movie Series
Presented by Wentworth-Douglass Hospital
Drive-In Movie Series Partners
Welcome to the Prescott Park Arts Festival “Lost Summer” Drive-In Movie Series, sponsored by Wentworth-Douglass Hospital! We are so excited to offer drive-in movie experiences at two locations – the lot shared by Blue Mermaid/Tributary Brewing Company in Kittery, Maine, and at PopUpNH, located at the Bridge Street lot, in Portsmouth.
We are bringing back the fun of movies while maintaining safe, social distancing. This series will be summer long, offering a mix of classics as well as newer releases. We will announce the new movies and put them on sale every Tuesday.
Final Event of the Season – Beetlejuice!
Presented by Prescott Parks Arts Festival in support of the Portsmouth Halloween Parade!
See the Beetlejuice page for more details!
Advance reservation is required.
Weekly Non-Profit Partner
Because the pandemic has challenged the community as a whole, each week Prescott Park Arts Festival will partner with another local non-profit to select some of the films and share a portion of the net proceeds. Your attendance will help not one, but two organizations!
Arrival and Parking
Movies will all be set to begin as soon as it is dark enough. As the summer goes on, this time will get earlier, but for now we will aim for around 8:15pm. You MUST reserve your space online prior to arrival at the location. Spaces are limited! Please arrive no later than 7:45pm and be sure to have proof of reservation available.
Upon arrival, you will be checked in by a PPAF staff member. If you’ve opted for pre-ordered popcorn and/or candy, this is where you will receive it. You will then be directed to your parking spot. Vehicles will be parked based on size to keep the view clear for everyone – don’t worry, Smart Car, you won’t have a lifted F150 in front of you! Please park in the orientation in which you would like to view the movie; for example, if you are in a lifted F150 and would like to lay in the bed of your truck, park accordingly.
The sound for the film will be through your car radio via an FM transmitter. This feature will allow you to enjoy the volume at your preferred level, while also not disturbing the neighbors!
Food and Drink
You are more than welcome to bring your own food and beverages, however, there will be on-site options for you as well. You will be able to pre-order popcorn and candy when placing your reservations online through Prescott Park Arts Festival. At Wentworth-Douglass, there will be at least one food truck selling both food and drink.
On Fridays and Saturdays, we encourage you to dine at the Blue Mermaid Island Grill before the show starts. They have indoor and outdoor seating available, in addition to take-out & curbside pick-up. Additionally, the Tributary Brewing Company will be open before the show. Please drink responsibly.
Prescott Park Arts Festival will not be selling liquor of any kind and strongly discourage anyone to BYOB.
Down to the nitty-gritty. As we are still very much in the middle of an unprecedented pandemic, we want to encourage everyone to remain safe and healthy while also enjoying themselves. You are allowed to sit outside of your vehicle on the driver’s side only. If you are outside your vehicle, you are strongly encouraged to wear a mask.
You must not leave your assigned area without a mask; please do not approach staff members, volunteers, food trucks, bathrooms, etc., without a mask.
You will be asked to leave should you not adhere to these guidelines. Please see this link for more information regarding New Hampshire guidelines.
Should the weather require us to cancel a film showing, we will let you know as soon as possible. If we do cancel a showing, your reservation can be applied to another showing – in either our Portsmouth or Kittery location – or can be donated back to the organization.
Unfortunately, refunds will not be offered at this time. Should the show be canceled for any reason, your reservation can either be applied to the next showing of your choice or simply donated to the organization.
Although we LOVE pets at PPAF, we will not be allowing non-service animals at this time.
