A Daring Hero. It’s a campy and outrageous musical comedy that you and your family are sure to love! \n\nCommunity Showcase\, presented by Bank of New Hampshire\nBurgess Street Dance  \n11:30am | Saturday\, July 1 \n \nBurgess Street Dance began in 2019 when founder\, Anna Fontanes\, had a vision to use her professional dance training and love for children to create a summer dance camp. The camp was a success leading to another camp and by fall there was a demand to begin weekly dance classes. The studio offers ballet\, tap\, and jazz classes for ages 4-12\, as well as master classes for teens and adults. Anna’s dedication to her students is evident in her annual Christmas and spring shows\, as well as local performance opportunities she provides for them. She strives to pass on her love of dance to the next generation\, ensuring they gain invaluable experience and grow as dancers under her guidance. \nAnna Fontanes is an accomplished dancer and dance instructor with a passion for sharing her love of the art form. She earned a Bachelor of Performing Arts in Dance performance from Oklahoma City University\, where she honed her skills and laid the foundation for her dance career. During her summers in school\, Anna had the opportunity to work as a dancer in Las Vegas\, where she also received training from the renowned tap legend\, Henry LeTang. \nFollowing her graduation\, Anna pursued her dreams and performed in various cities\, including Los Angeles\, Chicago\, and Branson\, Missouri. She had the privilege of dancing for esteemed artists such as Bobby Vinton and Jim Stafford. Eventually\, Anna found herself in New York City\, where she continued her dance education at Steps and Broadway Dance Center. In tap\, she trained with Michelle Dorrance and Derrick Grant. She performed in several showcases around the city including a Met’s game. \nYears later\, Anna made the decision to relocate to Boston. She joined the Boston Tap Company. Anna had the privilege of performing at renowned venues such as Jacob’s Pillow and even had the honor of opening for the Radio City Rockettes Christmas Spectacular at the Wang Theater. \nAfter starting a family and raising several children\, Anna’s passion for dance led her to open Burgess Street Dance. \nBurgess Street Dance will perform on the Main Stage at 11:30am on Saturday\, July 1. \nprior to Little Shop of Horrors matinee at 1pm.  \nLearn more about our Community Showcases here
