Inaugural Americana Fest at Prescott Park Arts Festival

Portsmouth, NH - Prescott Park Arts Festival ramps it up this season with an expanded music festival and concert roster. In all, they will showcase the talents of close to 100 bands from around the region.

This Saturday, July 7, 2007, they launch their first Americana Festival. Americana music has been described as the rock and roll child born of the union between hillbilly and rhythm & blues. Others simply call it alt-Country.

Come decide for yourself when local favorites Girls, Guns, & Glory; Elsa Cross; Pondering Judd Trio; The Molenes; and Jon Nolan & Hokum take the stage from Noon to 5 PM.

Suggested $8 donation at the gate.

Future summer music festivals include Jazz (7/15), Folk (7/21), Country (8/4), and Rhythm & Roots (8/11).
