Dear Friends and Neighbors:
As Prescott Park Arts Festival celebrates another successful season,
we look forward to the future of this vital cultural organization
of our Seacoast community.
And, now that the busy season is over, things have settled down
but are far from dormant. We are positive the festival will outdo
itself again in 2008 with the return of a signature theatrical performance,
live music and dance, food festivals, and our educational Academy.
However, in order to accomplish this, we do need your support.
We take pride in presenting a full season of theatre, music, dance,
food festivals, and art to thousands of people who come to the park
to enjoy quality, creative time with family, friends, neighbors,
and local artisans and businesses, while experiencing top quality
cultural programs.
As I am sure you are aware, the quality of our productions and presentations
come at a price. Non-profit festivals like ours cannot even come
close to covering the costs involved through our donation-only policy.
In fact, entry gate contributions covered less than one half of
the costs this year.
We work hard to control costs, sign sponsors, and conduct fundraising
activities in order to cover expenses associated with providing
our community with this level of programming. Production rights
for our plays, lighting, sound, costumes, props, and security for
our patrons cost more than $150,000 annually.
Throughout its 33-year history, the festival has counted on its
audiences and donors to invest in our performances and music education
programs. You contribution allows us to continue to follow the guiding
principle of never turning anyone away for a lack of ability to
pay. In addition, contributions support numerous family memberships
distributed through local agencies serving low-income populations.
The Prescott Park seed was planted, nurtured, and is now flourishing
because of the generosity of people like you. And, for that, we
cannot thank you enough. Continued support is vital and will ensure
the successful future of Prescott Park Arts Festival.
We invite you to wisely choose to invest in our organization with
a contribution that will allow us to continue to enhance the quality
of Seacoast life. Please, take a moment and complete the enclosed
donor card and return it with your contribution in the envelope
provided.
As a reminder, for tax purposes, Prescott Park Arts Festival is
a qualified non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization. Your contribution
is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Thank you for your generous support and for claiming part ownership
in the Prescott Park Arts Festival and supporting our mission.
If you would like to discuss any aspect of your gift, please feel
free to contact me at (603) 436-2848 or ben@prescottpark.org.
We welcome your feedback.
With sincere appreciation,
Ben Anderson
