JON NOLAN
It's Americana pop. Good songs for people who care about good songs. Paul Kolderie (Morphine, Radiohead, Uncle Tupelo) mixed "When the Summers Lasted Long," the self-recorded, debut solo release from Jon Nolan. The end result is a timeless, honest and charming americana/pop record that chronicles Nolan's transition from youth to adulthood in the way that "Darkness'" did for Bruce. No Depression Magazine and the Boston Herald both featured the disc in their "Best Of" lists along with heavy hitters like Son Volt, Kathleen Edwards and Ryan Adams. For ten+ years, Nolan fronted Say ZuZu. They released 6 CDs, had a record deal in Europe on Germany's Blue Rose Records, and played all over 25 US states and four European countries.
ADAM EZRA GROUP
Adam Ezra Group is a dynamic roots/rock band that has risen to the top of the Boston music scene. Their unique blend of roots, pop and rock sounds, perfectly combines Ezra's passion for smart, well-written lyrics and the band's tight musicianship; bringing their sound together with rich, complex, and hook-laden melodies. The band's energy live is now legendary as Adam and the group ignite the stage with a captivating charisma that has been compared to that of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.
JASON SPOONER
The ingredients behind northern New England's Jason Spooner Trio read like a bizarre musical science experiment. Start with a prolific, singer/songwriter (Jason Spooner) with heavy roots, folk & blues influences. Then mix in a classicly-trained bassist (Adam Frederick) with foundations in jazz and a knack for serious pocket grooves. Lastly, shake things up with a rock-solid drummer (Reed Chambers) with deep-seeded roots in funk, soul & reggae and you've begun to scratch the surface of this unique, energetic band.
GYPSY TAILWIND
If you attended our NH BrewFest last year, you know how hot this band is. Comprised of some of Portland's most talented session musicians, Gypsy Tailwind has quickly become the "new darlings" of the thriving East Coast scene. Their debut album was selected by the Portland Phoenix Magazine as the number two album of the year, second only to Ray Lamontagne's "Gossip in the Grain". Touching an array of genres, Gypsy Tailwind's style remains firmly within Americana and Roots traditions, flickering between folk, rock, and alt-country, gracefully capturing the unclaimed sound that is now completely their own.
