Roots music - ranging from Americana to Zydeco and everything
in between.
Coming from Alaska, Telluride Band winner Bearfoot features
twin fiddles, fast-picking mandolin and guitar, upright bass, and
beautiful harmony vocals. Their fresh approach to bluegrass and
acoustic music ranges from evocative three-part harmonies, to original
songs and bluesy covers of contemporary tunes. Bearfoot's exuberant
stage presence elicits an appeal that bridges generations.
Elsas deep and devoted relationship with music has
been a lifelong obsession. Before the age of five, she remembers
being enraptured by the voices of the gospel choir in her hometowns
Methodist church. She began dabbling with musical instruments when
she was eight years old, finally settling with her true companion,
the guitar. 1950s rock and roll led her to its roots in old
country, where she found the songs of Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash,
and young Elvis Presley. She then began writing and performing her
own songs, pulling from the honesty and the simplicity of her influences.
Elsa captivates audiences throughout the Seacoast with her powerful
solo shows. Her music is her passion, and her crowds will attest
that the honesty and the heartache in her songs is the real deal.
Celebrating 10 years, High Range is an energetic roots/folk/bluegrass
group with a long list of rave reviews from national publications.
They highlight original music with a mix of cover songs on guitar,
upright bass, mandolin, fiddle, banjo and drums. Tight and true
vocals with impressive instrumental work make their songs a pleasure
to hear.
